Halloween Costumes - 4 Tips and Costume Ideas For Halloween

To prepare for the scariest night of the year, when folklore determines that grisly ghouls, witches, warlocks, bats, goblins and bogeymen will vie with vampires, evil kings, wicked ogres, French maids and ugly buglies, who come to roam the earth in search of the dead - or living - here are some super cool costume ideas and tips that you can work into your Halloween party plans to have the blast of your life!

Though Halloween night is typically celebrated by kids and teens, there are many adults who also love the excitement of dressing up in their spookiest best, be it the Evil dead characters or those straight out of the House of Wax movie, getting their thrills from giving the chills to someone else, when they aim to blend straight into the shadows of the night to...have a load of fun!!

So, have you got yourself your Halloween costume as yet? No? Well, what are you waiting for - Christmas?

If its ideas you've run out of - or even hard cash - that's no reason to worry about not having a great Halloween costume. Not when you can make your own with a dash of imagination and some sewing or crafting skills!

Costume idea no. 1 - So, if you're not scared of spooks you could dress up as one yourself and roam the streets with them for one eerie spine-chilling night of the year and have a blast while you scare the heebie jeebies out of folks on your street with only a sheet between you and the cruel world!

This is a great time to get the better of your friends and neighbors by catching them unawares and scaring them all of ten inches off of the ground! That's what a good Halloween costume should help you achieve, so don't go for anything that doesn't deliver on this absolute thrill!

People are at their wits end with many of them believing that ghosts and goblins are roaming the streets. So they will take no chances trying to determine if you are really a ghost or a human dressed as one and this is where the fun begins!

Costume Idea no. 2 - Babe Magnet: all you need are some cheap, small, lightweight plastic dolls, snazzy clothes, a slick hairstyle preferably gelled down for good effect and card-board cuts out of magnet shape, painted grey with red edges stuck randomly to the dolls you can sew or hot-glue on a sleeveless jacket (if you don't want to spoil your party clothes)

Costume Idea no. 3 - Giant Jelly Bean Bag: invest in some broad plastic wrap or find a large clear plastic bag you can slip into with cut-outs for your arms, legs and neck. Fill this with small, round colorful balloons to resemble jelly beans and scrunch up the plastic around your neck comfortably to get a fast and cheap Halloween costume.

Costume Idea no. 4 - Tramp or Tinker: Old, baggy, worn out clothes, scruffy hairstyle (backcomb your hair for an unruly look), big toe cardboard cut out painted in skin color and highighted with glitter to stick to the front of old shoes, lightweight pots and pans to hang from your shoulder and dark face make-up to go with the entire look. Voila! You can live up your fantasy of letting it all hang loose, cussing and asking for free hand-outs as it all goes with the 'person'ality of a tramp!

How innovative you can be with the above ideas further will determine the level of success you can enjoy when it comes to scaring your gang witless - but never for a moment believe that they are not expecting you to outwit them, so prepare for a good scare yourself!
